Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings (ANAC) has established a manufacturing base in Suzhou, China. The move supports its existing sales and distribution operations in Asia Pacific, first established in 1980, and is part of the company’s key strategic plans for the region.
“Manufacturing aerospace coatings locally in China is a logical step to supporting the Chinese OEM and MRO markets, but also the rapidly expanding aerospace industry throughout the Asia Pacific region,” said Graham Windsor, ANAC’s general manager, Asia Pacific. “Local manufacturing will reduce lead times, transportation costs and assist clients with off-set obligations, which is so important in a very cost conscious industry.”
