Toyo Aluminum Kabushiki Kaisha has received a patent for a manufacturing method of an aluminum flake pigment, having an average thickness in the range of 0.025 µm and 0.08 µm, and an average particle diameter in the range of 8 µm to 30 µm, the manufacturing method is comprised of a first step of preparing aluminum powder having an average particle diameter in the range of 1 µm to 10 µm by an atomization method, and a second step of grinding the aluminum powder in an organic solvent, wherein the second step is performed using a grinding medium having a diameter in the range of 0.3 mm to 4 mm.
