04.14.16

Daikin America, Inc., a manufacturer of fluorine-based chemicals, as well as a leader in the manufacture of air conditioners, is participating at the American Coatings Show. All Surface Modification Technologies are being highlighted at the show, with the emphasis on Daikin's newest offerings, including Zeffle SE-2K  waterborne 2-part cross-linking resin with performance similar to conventional 2K solventborne fluorourethanes and superior to 2K solventborne polyurethanes.

In addition to the Zeffle product line that includes resins allowing for VOC-compliant coatings that are appropriate for such diverse applications as OEM coil coatings to field-applied coatings for FPSO, bridges and buildings, is the Unidyne family of repellent products for textile, carpet, non-woven, stone and hard surfaces and an additive to paint for stain resistance and easy clean-up.

The line-up of Daikin products under Surface Modification Technology provide water, oil and stain repellecy; friction modification/easy release; reduced finger printing; easy clean surfaces; and weather resistance.

Other products include Lubron PTFE micropowders and an aqueous dispersion, DAI-FREE mold release agents, Optool anti-fingerprint treatments for both glass and plastic substrates, polymer processing aids, coating powders as well as products for the formulation of anti-graffiti coatings.
