Shepherd Color Co. Promotes Two New Websites at ACS 2016

Shepherd Color Company is promoting two new websites, one featuring its infrared reflective pigments and another featuring its stir-in pigment technology.

Information on the company's Arctic line of infrared reflective pigments is available at www.arcticpigments.com. According to Shepherd, Arctic pigments allow for the manufacture of colored roofing materials that meet the U.S. EPA’s EnergyStar and other regulatory and code requirements. In addition to energy savings, IR-reflective roofs transfer less heat to the surrounding air – leading to cooler cities and less smog.

"By incorporating Arctic IR reflecting pigments, metal cladding and roofs will undergo less thermal expansion and contraction, mitigating fastener failure and generally extending the lifetime of the product. Arctic pigments are perfectly suitable for all types of architectural finishes; including highly-alkaline masonry coatings (e.g. silicate paints)," the company says.

Dynamix pigments are available for use in a wide variety of markets, including building and construction, automotive, and high heat. Applications include liquid spray, powder coating, inks and UV curing. Information on the Dynamix line is available at www.dynamixpigments.com.
