This year’s CHINACOAT boasts 1000 global suppliers exhibiting their latest products and technologies.

Shamrock Technologies will be exhibiting a variety of products at CHINACOAT. “CHINACOAT offers a platform to gather industry leaders in one place; with folks from sourcing, manufacturing and technical to sales and management, enabling focused discussions around industry trends and issues,” said Joon Choo, vice president of Shamrock Technologies. “Being there allows active participation across the range of discussions, with opportunity for continued relationship building. As a specialty additives development company, we showcase the latest in our development efforts, which are geared towards solving current industry challenges, in regulatory, technology as well as new applications. Having a team of experienced technologists at hand to meet with customers helps with identifying the future needs in new products. We will be displaying our new easy-to-use additives for water based systems and thin film applications will be profiled.”

Lonza will be showcasing its local manufacturing and technical service capabilities alongside its latest generation MIT free in-can biocides. “In addition to our exhibition stand, we will be participating in the technical symposium and meeting with key customers and distributors during our time in Guangzhou,” said David Tierney, global business director of Lonza. “Lonza will be presenting our wide range of in-can and dry-film biocide products under the Proxel and Omadine brand names. These include next generation options, such as Proxel BZ Plus and Proxel LS Preservatives, as well as products catering to the special needs of the local Chinese market such as Proxel CLF Preservative. Additionally, Lonza will be displaying our Copper and Zinc Omadine antimicrobials used for marine antifouling applications.”

Coatex and the other business units of Arkema Group are presenting their solutions on booth 10.2 C25-34. Among the offerings is a new highly pseudoplastic PU thickener, the Coapur XS 83, which was launched during this show.
“Dedicated to spray coating as well as thick and textured painting, these innovative additive shows all its value on water resistance and color acceptance,” said Fabienne Drouel, marketing and communication manager, Coatex Group. “The benefits will be presented by Ms. Michelle Shen during a dedicated session.”

Orion Engineered Carbons is promoting the specialty carbon black grades from various Orion production sites in Germany, the U.S. and Korea.  “Among these showcased are our flagship Specialty Carbon Blacks for coatings applications: COLOUR BLACK FW 255 POWDER for automotive OEM and refinish systems; SPECIAL BLACK 40 POWDER for industrial applications; XPB 552 BEADS and POWDER for conductive coatings; and PRINTEX and NIPex grades for printing inks,” said Tsutomu Nakanom marketing director, Asia, Specialty Carbon Black, Orion Engineered Carbons. “We also plan to promote new Specialty Carbon Black we are developing at the Qingdao plant.”

UK-based Union Colours is using CHINACOAT as an opportunity to update its clients, both existing and new, of the company’s latest products and their attributes. “Union Colours has spent the last years in the development of clean or pure products for use in regulatory sensitive applications such as packaging inks, high end plastics and textiles,” said Oliver Pfeefferkorn. “Our Development Chemists and Technical Commercial Team will be present to take the opportunity to update our clients on our new range.”
“CHINACOAT is a chance for us to meet with our customers and with our Chinese Distributor and educate about Shepherd Color,” said Lori Huber, marketing communications specialist at The Shepherd Color Company. “We can see many contacts under one roof in few days. “Our plans for the show are to meet with current and prospective customers and inform them of our product catalog of Complex Inorganic Color Pigments.  We are promoting our Arctic Infrared Reflective Pigments and our Dynamix Stir-in Pigments.”

Elcometer will be showing a full range of coating inspection and testing equipment for use in the field and the laboratory at CHINACOAT2016 in Guangzhou. “Elcometer (Asia) will display a wide range of our products with hands-on demonstrations, supported by no fewer than 15 persons from our company and our main Chinese distributor,” said 
Nanette Sellars of Elcometer. “New products on show at CHINACOAT2016 include the new Bresle Patch. The new Elcometer 138C Bresle Test Patches have been developed to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 8502 Part 6. This standard is entitled “Preparation of steel substrates before application of paints and related products, Tests for the assessment of surface cleanliness, Extraction of soluble contaminants for analysis, the Bresle method. These new Bresle Test Patches have new performance characteristics to make the testing both easier and more accurate.”
Ross Wuxi Equipment Co., Ltd. will be exhibiting its line of mixers for the coatings industry. “CHINACOAT provides a good platform for our company and potential customers,” said Lisa Wu of Ross Wuxi Equipment. “We hope to find new business opportunities and also to learn about  new products and technologies.”

“Participating in CHINACAOT allows us to interact face to face with visitors to our booth,” said Stefani Levine, marketing services, Atlas Material Testing Technology.  “It provides our sales staff the opportunity to have meaningful discussions with attendees about their testing needs and how we may work together to provide them with test programs that will supply the data they need to make informed material performance decisions.”

Atlas will be demonstrating its xenon and fluorescent UV weathering instruments at the show – Ci4000 Weather-Ometer, SUNTEST XLS+ and UVTest.  In addition, Atlas will be promoting various outdoor and accelerated laboratory testing services that the company offers.
