General Motors Europe (GME) and AkzoNobel Car Refinishes formed an agreement under which AkzoNobel will participate in GME’s Body and Paint Program. AkzoNobel Car Refinishes will supply GME’s Opel and Vauxhall dealer network all across Europe with Sikkens and Lesonal brand paint and coatings materials. Car Refinishes will also deliver services and training to GME’s dealers. General Motors, which recently announced the renewal of a global deal with AkzoNobel for warranty repair work, operates in more than forty markets in Europe, with 10 manufacturing and assembly facilities and approximately 50,000 employees. Sikkens has traditionally been the leading supplier of products, training and services to GME for aftermarket vehicle repairs.
