Gabriel Performance Products LLC purchased Ranbar Electrical Materials, Grace Matthews, Inc. and Ranbar announced in a joint press release. Grace Matthews, a Milwaukee-based investment bank, advised Ranbar on this transaction. Headquartered in Harrison City, Pa., Ranbar is a custom developer and manufacturer of specialty resins, varnishes, and coatings materials used in the industrial coatings, steel, electrical, and motor industries. Its product lines consist of alkyd, epoxy, and polyester coating resins, steel coatings, and electrical varnishes, and are sold directly to customers and through distributors. Gabriel intends to retain all product lines and their respective brand names. Ranbar’s Harrison City, Pa. facility will serve as Gabriel’s third production plant. “Our firm worked closely with the shareholders to identify a partner that could leverage Ranbar’s strong reputation in the market and help accelerate its growth,” said Andy Hinz, managing director of Grace Matthews. Grace Matthews, Inc. served as the exclusive financial advisor to Ranbar, and Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. acted as its legal advisors on the transaction. Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. served as legal advisor for Gabriel.
