Pilot Chemical Company made two important changes to its Board of Directors by electing veteran attorney John R. Brantley as a director and naming longtime director Bob Cellura as its first director emeritus. As a partner in the Houston office of international law firm Bracewell LLP, Brantley advises public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate governance. He has provided legal counsel to Pilot Chemical for more than 13 years. “John has developed an in-depth knowledge of the company’s heritage, the business objectives and the strategy for continued growth and success,” said Paul Morrisroe, Pilot chairman. “His contributions to the Board will be highly valued.” “The Pilot organization is a unique blend of active, engaged ownership and professional, innovative management,” Brantley said. “Serving as a Board member will allow me to work with the Pilot team in a new and different way.” “In addition to his significant experience advising companies in the chemical, oil and gas and banking industries, John will bring strength in corporate governance to the Board,” Pilot CEO and President Pam Butcher said. “I look forward to his transition to the Board and his contributions going forward.” Cellura has served on the Board since 2006, joining upon his retirement from Pilot, where he served in executive roles for more than 20 years. “Bob will continue to be a resource to the Board by providing valuable insights and comments based upon his long history with the chemical industry, Pilot and Pilot’s Board of Directors,” Morrisroe said. “We are all very pleased to have that continuing relationship.”
