R.D. Abbott Company, Inc., will feature its latest technical innovations, products and services in Booth 405 at the 2016 International Elastomer Conference in Pittsburgh this October 10–13. “These are exciting times for R.D. Abbott,” shared Scott Kearns, vice president of sales and business development, “the depth and reach of our product portfolio keeps expanding and the design and development efforts of our technical team keeps growing to address industry demands.” Featured products and services to include: • R.D. Abbott’s new agency partnership with Cancarb Limited for Thermax® brand Thermal Carbon Black in the United States and Canada (effective January 1, 2017) • R.D. Abbott’s bigger testing laboratory in Cerritos, California, with equipment enhancements like an “00C” internal mixer, a 40” compounding mill for scale-up work, as well as an advanced rheometer, tensometer, disperGRADER™, and an integrated lab management system from Alpha Technologies. Featured technical innovations at the conference to include: • LORD In-Mold Bonding Adhesive Technology for plastic and silicone components • 3M Fused Silica as a substitute for crystalline silica, helping to reduce worker exposure to harmful chemicals “Our technical team is passionate about tackling rubber design challenges by leveraging our on-site laboratory resources and collaborative supplier partnerships,” said Rick Ziebell, vice president of technology and innovation management for R.D.
