Bayer MaterialScience LLC has appointed Marc Daniel Block director, regional key account sales for its coatings, adhesives, specialties (CAS) business unit.
In this role, Block leads the CAS regional key account sales team in the United States. He also serves as head of the technical sales team and the single point of contact office in the NAFTA region.
Block has worked at Bayer for 11 years, starting as an industrial sales clerk for Bayer AG and moving through several roles with progressively increasing responsibilities. Most recently, he served as director, global product management for CAS, where he managed Bayer’s resin product line in the Asia Pacific region. This position is Block’s first in the United States, having previously been based in China, Spain and Germany.
Block graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Essen, Germany, with a business diploma in marketing and controlling. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from the Nanyang Business School in Singapore in 2005.
