PPG Industries' protective and marine coatings business will exhibit this week at the Offshore Energy Amsterdam event. PPG has developed marine paints and coatings products, many of which work well within the harsh offshore environment, through its research and development program. Among PPG products showcased at Offshore Energy will be the SIGMASHIELD range and the PITT-CHAR XP cryogenic coatings offering.
Donald Le, PPG offshore segment manager, said, “For customers working in the challenging offshore sector, a passive fire product such PITT-CHAR XP [coating] works exceptionally well in environments where durability and corrosion resistance are required in addition to the ability to prevent steel structures from heating up rapidly.”
PPG’s protective and marine coatings range features tank linings, zinc-rich primers, general-purpose epoxy primers and durable finishes, combined with its hydrocarbon PFP/cryogenic offering. PPG will be at Offshore Energy Amsterdam 2014, Oct. 28-29, in Hall 11 Stand 11.055.
