Tesla NanoCoatings has announced a significant addition to its team. Joseph Davis has joined as vice president-sales engineering.
Davis is recognized throughout the industry as an authority on corrosion prevention and protection. He maintains certifications as a NACE Level III certified inspector as well as SSPC C1 and C2, and a Protective Coatings Specialist. Davis serves as the chairman of the AWWA D102 Coating of Steel Water Tank Committee and as chairman of the NACE International Institute’s NIICAP Oversight Board. He most recently served as vice president of the technical service group for TNEMEC Company Inc., in Kansas City, Mo., where he helped establish the company’s strategic vision, and coordinated the efforts of the technical service department, analytical lab, and panel sample lab, with the marketing and research and development groups.
“As we continue to lead innovation in corrosion-fighting technology to meet our global customer base’s demands for corrosion protection, Joe brings a wealth of coatings-industry technical experience to our team,” said Tesla NanoCoatings President Todd Hawkins. “Joe is playing an integral role in educating customers about our breakthrough 2X1 Wet Edge™ technology, our two-coat epoxy primer and topcoat system that replaces conventional three-coat systems traditionally used to protect steel surfaces in any environment in all corners of the globe, offering significant advantages not only in corrosion protection, but also in application time and effort.”
Davis’ prior work experience also includes president of DavCorr Corrosion Services, CEO of DavCorr Inc, and industrial specification specialist for ICI-Devoe High Performance Coatings.
