Croda has been awarded EcoVadis Gold Status for the third year running.
Improving their score year on year, 2016 sees Croda placed not only in the top 1 percent of all chemical companies assessed by EcoVadis, but the top 1 percent of all companies assessed by the sustainability platform. EcoVadis’ assessment methodology, which rates more than 20,000 companies, looks at environmental, labor, fair business and sustainable procurement practices.
Currently, approximately 70 percent of Croda’s raw materials come from renewable sources; this is set to increase with the completion of a new manufacturing plant that will manufacture 100 percebt bio-based products. Once complete, the new plant will give Croda’s customers access to the new ECO range, enabling them to meet consumer demands for increasingly environmentally friendly products.
