Vink Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG acquired the U.K.-based Prom Chem Ltd.’s biocidal business.
Vink Chemicals achieves approximately 90 percent of its sales with the production and distribution of biocides.
"With the acquisition, we are strengthening our core business and open up new target groups," said David Zilm, sales manager, Biocides.
The purchase of part of the Biocidal division of Prom Chem has a focus on bit (1, 2-benzisothiazolin-3-one/CAS: 2634-33-5).
In the course of the acquisition, the biocidal expert from northern Germany acquired all European registrations of the biocidal formulations of Prom Chem and will continue offering all biocides of the PROMEX brand. In addition to the active ingredients CMIT/MIT and MIT, BIT will now complement the portfolio for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The quality, the specifications and the names of the biocidal formulations of Prom Chem will not change for the customers by the takeover. Only the formulations of the types PROMEX CMT (CMIT/MIT) will henceforth be distributed under the name Vinkocide.
