BYK USA Inc. said it is expanding the Terra Firma footprint. Effective July 1, 2018, Terra Firma will assume responsibility for the Southwestern region in addition to some other states bordering its present territory. This includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.
BYK, a member of the ALTANA Group, is a global supplier of specialty additives for the paint, plastics, adhesives, ink, and HI&I markets, as well as the oil & gas industry. It services these markets through its U.S. headquarters in Wallingford, Conn., and its five manufacturing facilities across the U.S.
“We are extremely pleased that BYK has given us the opportunity to expand our coverage and represent them across the vast majority of the Terra Firma geography,” Terra Firma CEO David Behan said. “Our Southwestern leadership team, with their strong historical ties to BYK, will be instrumental in delivering the technical expertise and logistical support our collective
customers expect.”
The Terra Firma Company serves 24 states, has 50 employees, and covers a wide array of chemical markets, including CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers), plastics, construction, food, personal care, cosmetics, graphic arts, oil & gas, rubber, textiles and others.
