North American Polymer Company (NAPCO) launched a brand-new paint stripper, Sonic Strip.
NAPCO’s product has been specifically formulated to contain zero amounts of methylene chloride, a chemical frequently found within products in the refinishing and coatings industry. The new, solvent-based paint stripper is available for purchase on NAPCO’s website in the gallon size.
NAPCO’s Sonic Strip was developed as a methylene chloride-free product primarily for use on ceramic surfaces such as tubs, tile, showers, and sinks; it also can be applied to other substrates. The paint stripper is formulated with strong vertical cling, so it will easily remain on any surface upon which it is brushed or poured. After 10 to15 minutes of processing time, the stripper can be chipped with a razor in order to strip the film from the substrate.
“This is a product we have been working on for quite some time, as the safety of our customers and their clients is of the utmost importance to us. With this methylene chloride-free paint stripper, our refinishers can be confident that they are safe to carry out the work their clients need,” NAPCO CEO Steve Coven said.
