These charities were nominated and selected by employees of at the company’s Manchester-based headquarters.
HMG Paints launched the initiative with a company “bake-off.”
Forever Manchester works with local communities to inspire and encourage projects to make neighborhoods happier, healthier and safer places to be.
“It’s fantastic that a local company recognizes the value of supporting local grassroots community activity that makes a difference on its doorstep, where [employees] work and where the staff and customers live,” said Jean Mills, head of business development at Forever Manchester.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and is focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning for Motor Neurone Disease.
The Cleft Lip and Palate Association works to improve the lives of people born with a cleft palate – as well as their families – in the UK.
Manchester Mind has been delivering services in the city since 1989 (previously as HARP). Despite being part of the Mind Charity, it remains an independent charity governed by their own trustees. Manchester Mind delivers a wide range of services to support people’s mental health.
“We are really looking forward to fundraising for four incredible local charities who do amazing work and need more funding. It is even more fitting that these charities were nominated and chosen by the people of HMG,” said John Falder, managing director, HMG Paints Ltd.
