Sartomer, a business unit of Arkema Inc., celebrated the 50th anniversary of its West Chester, Pa. production plant and received recognition from Sen. Andrew Dinniman.
Sartomer’s West Chester production facility produces specialty chemical building blocks used by other manufacturers for advanced materials, chemical intermediates, personal care and 3D printing applications. The production facility offers its customers access to global technology, manufacturing and service, which leads to innovative solutions, a dependable supply and consistently high-quality products and services.
While presenting a certificate recognizing the 50th anniversary, Sen. Dinniman said, “Sartomer is a great example of a company that has been enterprising in adapting to meet the needs of the new economy. In addition, Sartomer and its employees continue to celebrate their roots in our region by giving back to the community through volunteerism and other charitable endeavors. I wish them a 'Happy 50th birthday’ and best wishes for another half-century of success, growth and innovation.”
“We look forward to building on this half-century foundation as we continue to support our customers’ evolving needs and work as a dedicated corporate neighbor in our region," said Kenny Messer, president of Sartomer Americas.
A member of the West Chester Chamber of Commerce, Sartomer’s West Chester production facility provides technical expertise to the West Chester Local Emergency Planning Committee, offers a shadowing program for high school students, and partners with Drexel University for a cooperative program.
