Rust-Oleum recently opened a new 110,000 square foot floor coating manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota – double the size of the previous facility.
Unofficially dubbed the “Flooring Center of Excellence,” the plant produces flooring products for the DIY market under RockSolid and for the industrial market under Seal-Krete High Performance, Rust-Oleum Concrete Saver and Citadel branded products.
“We were bursting at the seams,” said Ben Sieben, brand director for flooring. “From concept to production, it all happens in this state-of-the-art facility - and we have room to grow.”
The location also features a 5,000-square-foot R&D lab along with a concrete coating training center for contractors. As a way to showcase product options, the office has more than 30 different decorative and industrial coatings on its interior floors. It is a way to show customers and vendors how the products perform under real conditions.
