LINE-X is heading to America’s capital for the 2019 Association of the U.S. Army Meeting and Exposition (AUSA) Oct. 14-16 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. (booth 7844).
As a trusted partner for several high-profile military, security and defense organizations and contractors for more than a decade, LINE-X will be highlighting PAXCON by LINE-X and other military-grade protective coatings to top U.S. Department of Defense representatives, engineers and others during the three-day show.
Known for a wide variety of applications ranging from bomb-blast mitigation to vehicle components, LINE-X is demonstrating two different tactical vehicle applications of XS-100 which have recently achieved Military Performance Specification 32440 (MIL-PRF-32440) as an approved product to protect substrates against chips, impacts, wear and abrasions.
In partnership with Growler Manufacturing and Engineering, LINE-X will be showing how its XS-100 High-Build Polyurea (HBP) was used to coat the exterior of the Mobile Tactical Welding Shop (MTWS).
This extremely durable coating is able to protect critical components from corrosion and abrasion caused by rain, sand, snow, mud and other debris. Additionally, LINE-X will demonstrate how XS-100 was used to provide unmatched protection to a torsion bar on an Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAAV) used by the U.S. Marine Corps. The AAAV’s 7-foot, 130-pound torsion bars are part of the tracked vehicle’s suspension and must endure harsh conditions as the vehicle travels in the ocean and over rough terrain on land while twisting up to 70 degrees in both directions. XS-100 provides an extremely durable and flexible coating and has been in use on AAAVs for more than 10 years without a single failure.
LINE-X representatives will be onsite to explain the strength, durability and overall benefits of PAXCON, XS-100 and other protective coatings designed for use across a wide array of security and defense applications.
