Engineered Polymer Solutions (EPS) will showcase its high-performance resins for roof coatings at the International Roofing Expo in Dallas, Texas from Feb. 4-6.
“To ensure the longevity of a roof, it is crucial that the coatings applied are optimized for the highest level of performance and durability,” said Dr. Brent Crenshaw, senior R&D chemist at EPS. “We listen to our customers and understand the issues they experience, and as a result, EPS constantly develops new and improved resins to advance the coatings available for the roofing industry.”
The featured line of EPS resins at the expo include EPS 2719, an all-acrylic emulsion that minimizes asphalt bleed-through in cool roof coatings. Roof coatings formulated with EPS 2719 offer excellent adhesion to asphaltic and other construction substrates and deliver exceptional UV and dirt pickup resistance.
EPS will also highlight EPS 2252, a high-solids acrylic emulsion designed to adhere to low energy substrates commonly used in roofing. Primers and basecoats based on the new waterborne acrylic resin offer improved adhesion to thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber. Coatings that use EPS 2252 can also be formulated at <50g/L VOC, helping customers meet stringent VOC regulations.
“Exhibiting at IRE is an opportunity for us to connect with new and existing customers,” said Christopher Farrell, from the Commercial Department of EPS. “At the show, we are able to introduce and share our innovative technologies that will help support roof coatings manufacturers and formulators.”
EPS will be at booth 6046.
