Nippon Paint Automotive Coatings (NPAC) recently announced the appointment of Robert Angart as president and CEO of Nippon Paint Automotive Americas, Inc (NPAA).
NPAA is an affiliate of NPAC, based in Japan, and is a full-range supplier in the North American automotive coatings market (pre-treatment, E-coat, body paint, and paint for plastics).
Angart brings a wealth of experience and expertise, having joined the Nippon Paint group in 2018. He is skilled in the detailed development and implementation of strategies, particularly in the areas of strategic organizational structure, geographical and multimarket strategies, pricing strategies, and mergers and acquisitions.
Angart has served in a multitude of consulting and executive roles. His typical assignments include senior advisory roles as well as management positions such as president, COO and CFO operating positions.
“I am excited to lead this great company at a time of such extraordinary change for our industry. I believe strongly in our mission to develop value added and innovative coating systems for the automotive market that satisfy both automakers and consumers. In doing so, it is my vision that NPAA will be the recognized leader in the automotive coatings market throughout the Americas,” Angart said.
“To help achieve that mission, we are expanding and improving our E-coat capabilities with our new Chattanooga, TN location that is under construction. We expect that it will start operations during Q1 2023.”
