Global silicone additive and specialty silicones manufacturer, BRB International released a new hydrolytically stable substrate wetting agent, BRB Siloen WA 264.
According to the company, the product is based on polyether siloxane technology, designed for water-based coatings, printing inks, adhesives, and overpaint varnishes.
BRB states, BRB Siloen WA 264 has no foam stabilization and provides a “considerable” reduction of surface tension. It also does not increase surface slip or impact the intercoat adhesion.
Reportedly, BRB Siloen WA 264 can be used in a pH range of 4 to 10 without noticeable degradation of surface tension.
