MIPA SE was recently honored for the best project of a medium-sized company in the Responsible Care competition organized by the German association for Chemical Industry (VCI). The sustainability initiative Responsible Care stands for the continuous improvement of safety, environmental protection and health protection - voluntarily, beyond laws and regulations.
Under this year's motto of the Bavarian Responsible Care competition “safe and healthy working environment,” MIPA SE won with the project “Setting up an instruction zone.”
In many companies, it is common practice to organize a large, universal health and safety briefing once a year with the help of a PowerPoint presentation. In contrast to this, MIPA SE has created its own area for sustainable and above all practical instruction in Essenbach. The instruction topics are passed on in small, manageable units throughout the year. This practical training of safety-compliant behavior makes it much easier to transfer the newly gained knowledge to the daily work routine.
The competition jury commented the project as follows: “A great and effective concept for making instructions exciting and practical! This breaks up the annual instruction routine in a practical way, which leads to a real transfer that promotes sustainable awareness-raising, behavioral change and the development of a comprehensive prevention culture.”
