We are incredibly proud of this achievement.”
Founded 90 years ago, Pflaumer is a manufacturer of specialty chemicals for coatings, inks, plastics, metalworking fluids, and lubricants as well as related industries such as composites, electronics, and construction. The company produces polymers for high-performance coatings applications, including epoxies, urethanes, polyureas, and polyaspartics.
Pflaumer is the leading supplier of polyaspartic amines in North America and its products are sold around the world. On average during each of the past seven years, Pflaumer is one of the fastest growing manufacturers of specialty chemicals in the world.
This year the company has introduced more than a dozen new products for high-performance coatings applications. Pflaumer’s technology covers curing agents for epoxies; specialty amines for polyaspartics and polyureas; aliphatic and aromatic polyisocyanates; polyols for urethanes; specially designed colorants for epoxies, urethanes and polyaspartics; functional additives to improve flow, leveling, deaeration, dispersion, wetting, emulsification, and adhesion; reactive diluents and non-reactive diluents to replace conventional solvents; catalysts; and moisture scavengers to minimize the contamination of moisture in polaspartic and urethane formulations.
Development of new products and technologies is supported by substantial pilot-scale manufacturing at the company’s headquarters in Ewing, NJ, and applications laboratories located in both New Jersey and California.
