Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel at multiple levels in assigned customer accounts, globally
- Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet growth performance objectives and customers’ expectations
- Establishing a strategic contact calendar to engage all functions/hierarchies of both Michelman and partner organizations
- Proactively leads a joint strategic global growth planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis, and identifies and helps to prioritize opportunities where Michelman can win
- Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary group and corporate personnel
- Serve as the repository for all information on the global growth accounts; is the “go to” person for all associates about growth accounts
- Travels to all key regions 3-4 times per year
- Coordinates the pricing and product offerings across all regions
- Develops a global growth plan for each strategic account that is accepted by regional and executive leadership
- Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
- Achieves strategic sales growth objectives defined by Group management

Education and Experience
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in technical field, (chemistry, engineering or polymer science); advanced business degree preferred
- Ability to speak and write fluent in English; multiple language skills a plus
- Minimum 3 years in marketing or sales management position
- 7-10 years’ experience in chemical, polymer or related industry required
- Strong market knowledge and industry contacts in coatings industry
- Chemistry knowledge
- Extensive travel, (minimum 50%), globally required
- Ability to perform job duties at remote locations including industrial sites, chemical facilities, customer centers, and other Michelman locations
- Ability to work across multiple time-zones
