Job Description:
Summary:
As a Product Manager you will be responsible for our regional Energy product portfolio which includes the oil & gas and wind power segments.
This will include product life cycle management where you will ensure we have the right products to meet our strategic market goals.
In addition you will have the project manager role for new product development projects from idea to launch, according to Hempel’s own stage gate process.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive product innovation for Hempel so that our products offer more value to the customer than our competitors.
Link market insight (customer, market, competitors, HSE and legislation) with product development and strategy
Be the Voice of the customer for through-out product development process
Align all product activities with the Global Product and Portfolio management team
Facilitate cross functional collaboration between many functions including Sales, Supply Chain, R&D and Marketing.
Ensure that relevant registration, testing and certification is obtained as required
Support sales team with product training and product recommendations
Work with our Regional Assortment Specialist to continuously optimize our product assortment
Be the go to person for all product related questions
Work with Marcom to create core content for both internal and external customer communications
Desired Skills and Experience:
Qualifications:
4 year BA/BS degree in a business or technical discipline preferred
Minimum 5 yrs Product Management experience
Demonstrated proficiency in global project management: strong communication & influencing skills
PMP certification a plus
Coatings industry experience a plus
Able to travel both domestically and internationally
Strong leadership skills
Superior stakeholder management skills
Strong facilitation skills
Good communicator towards all levels of the organization
Able to lead complex projects successfully in a multicultural organization
Strong organizational, planning and problem solving skills
High level of quality orientation, structured, fact based
