At the British Coatings Federation (BCF) Annual Conference and Gala Dinner held in Manchester in June, outgoing BCF President John Falder of HMG Paints handed over the presidency of the BCF to Vincent O’Sullivan, of PPG Architectural Coatings. At the event, which was enjoyed by over 110 delegates, John Falder was thanked for his proactive and passionate leadership in the last two and a half years.
Commenting on his new role, O'Sullivan said “We have some major challenges ahead, not least in maintaining our competitiveness in what is now an uncertain business environment after the Brexit vote. However, I know with a strong BCF team working hard on our behalf, we will be able to adapt as necessary to ensure a bright future for our industry, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
John Falder thanked BCF’s Tom Bowtell and the team in Leatherhead, saying he was pleased to be passing on the presidency at a time when the BCF has never been in such a strong position, in terms of influence, membership levels and financial stability.
