TOA Paint recently unveiled its GREEN MISSION policy plan, reaffirming its position as the number one leader in the integrated architectural paint and construction material market with a tangible roadmap to achieve Net Zero by 2050 in order to integrate a sustainable organization in line with the ESG principles. It is reinforcing its success with the highest Carbon Footprint Reduction Label or Global Warming Reduction Label (CFR) among architectural paint products, totaling 40 products, and set to grow strongly into its 60th year.

Chatuphat Tangkarawakun, CEO of TOA Paint, mentioned the important strategy called ” 7- GREEN” as follows:

“TOA is committed to integrating internal operations to be in harmony, starting from the research and development of environmentally friendly products in the long term (Greenovation), the development of production processes that reduce waste and use resources efficiently (Green Production), the use of renewable energy (Green Energy), the creation of positive impacts within the company’s value chain (Green Value Chain), the cooperation with business partners to promote each other’s businesses sustainably (Green Partner), the certification of environmentally friendly products (Green Certified), and the implementation of activities to reduce negative impacts on the environment (Green Reforestation).”

This commitment also extends to genuine consumer care, as seen from TOA’s efforts in developing low-carbon products, which have been certified with the “Carbon Footprint Reduction” (CFR) label from the Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) for 131 products, the largest number in the Thai paint manufacturing market.

The products certified with the Global Warming Reduction Label cover a wide range of groups to meet all customer needs, from interior paints that prioritize the health of residents such as TOA Organic Care to paints that make the surface easy to clean and wash, meeting household hygiene needs such as Duraclean and Duraclean A Plus, high-quality exterior paints that stand out for their durability, heat reflection, and energy saving such as SuperShield, acrylic paints that are durable in all weather conditions such as 4SEASONS, 4SEASONS 5 in 1, TOA Shield-1 Nano, SUPERMATEX, and the Expert 2 in 1 series that perfectly combines the properties of a top coat and primer in a single can. In addition, there are also gypsum board products and TOA Industrial Lacquer for furniture that are ready to create beautiful homes and spaces for consumers, along with sustainable care for the environment.

Chatuphat Tangkaravakoon, CEO of TOA Paint, noted that the problem of climate change is a crisis that has an impact on the world and humanity.

“The resolution of the COP28 meeting at the end of 2023 clearly emphasized the agreement that all sectors must help maintain the average global temperature level not to exceed 1.5 degrees Celsius,” Tangkaravakoon said. “This is because this year’s report states that the gap in greenhouse gas emissions is still 1.2% higher than last year, causing it to face the highest global warming in history.

“As a market leader and industrial sector of paint manufacturers in Thailand and ASEAN throughout the 60 years, we have been committed to conducting business that prioritizes consumer health and cares for the environment. Therefore, we are the first paint manufacturer in Thailand to successfully eliminate the use of heavy metals, mercury, and lead in building paints since 1977. We also continue to develop and create innovative paints that are safe, health-conscious, and environmentally friendly.”
