Dyrup is wholly owned by the Monberg & Thorsen Group. Recently it was announced that PPG Industries agreed to purchase Dyrup from the public holding company for approximately $200 million. Dyrup produces architectural coatings, in particular wood stains, and specialty products with 2010 sales of $273. It employs roughly 950 people and operates six manufacturing facilities in Europe. Its portfolio of brands includes Bondex, Gori and Xylophene, which are sold primarily in Denmark, France, Germany, Portugal, Poland and Spain through professional and DIY channels. After the departure of CEO Erik Holm, the board of directors has temporarily appointed Jørgen Nicolajsen as CEO of Dyrup A/S until a new CEO is appointed.
