AkzoNobel announced the promotion of Tami Swearingin to the position of global segment director of Aerospace Coatings, effective Aug. 1, 2020.
Swearingin joined AkzoNobel in 2015 as a sales director for aerospace coatings in the Americas.
She has more than 20 years of extensive experience in business management, sales and marketing, and market development in the aerospace and industrial markets.
Swearingin is recognized for being an excellent leader with extensive experience in global operations, financial management and business start-ups.
“I have worked closely with Tami since she first joined us, and I couldn’t think of a better person to take on this role,” said John Griffin, AkzoNobel regional director for North America. “Tami has shown extraordinary leadership of our aerospace sales team, and this promotion rightfully recognizes her contributions to our business. I am confident that Tami will successfully lead our Aerospace business through this global pandemic crisis and enhance our market-leading position in the industry.”
Previously, Swearingin held the position of AkzoNobel regional sales director for Aerospace Coatings in North America. She is replacing Griffin, who becomes AkzoNobel’s regional commercial director for Automotive and Specialty Coatings in North America, in addition to his regional director role.
