TER Chemicals has announced its acquisition of the modified Fischer-Tropsch Wax business from Evonik. The portfolio offers different types of tailor-made Fischer-Tropsch Waxes, which can be used in various applications.
TER Chemicals will continue to sell the products under the brand name of VESTOWAX and is prepared to continue the business with the same product quality and is committed to be a reliable partner going forward, the company stated.
VESTOWAX FT waxes are characterized by high purity and a uniform molecular structure, which enable a high melting temperature and hardness of the product. The structural properties and advantages make it possible to serve a wide range of applications in a variety of industries. For example, they act as lubricating agent in plastic processing applications, or they can be applied in coatings and printing inks to increase slip, rub, and scratch resistance.
“The modified Fischer-Tropsch Waxes are a complementary addition to our wide product portfolio for the coatings, adhesives, plastics- and other industries and we are eager to expand the portfolio with other modified waxes in the future based on the market needs,”, said Jens Vinke, Head of the Business Unit CASE at TER Chemicals.
