NETZSCH Highlights Neos Grinding System, Dispersion Days at ECS 2017

Dispersion Days symposium, which will be held May 15-17, already features nearly 60 speakers.

NETZSCH Feinmahltechnik GmbH is showing its new Neos Grinding System as well as its Epsilon inline disperser at the European Coatings Show this year. The company is also highlighting its Dispersion Days symposium, which will be held May 15-17 in Selb, Germany.

The Neos Grinding System offers numerous advances. It has maximum volume throughput, which allows the required number of cycles to be quickly achieved. It also offers high cooling efficiency due to the use of new materials. Grinding beads ranging from 0.1 to 0.8 mm in size can be used.

“There is a special chamber on the Neos that generates greater throughput and circulation,” said Stefanie Reinhold, head of marketing department for NETZSCH GmbH. “The smaller grinding beads lead to greater fineness, whether it is for inkjet, flexo and gravure inks or for paints and coatings.”

The Epsilon inline disperser feeds powder and liquid rapidly, and there is no dust or emissions, as the dispersion takes place in a closed housing.

Dispersion Days is a new symposium led by NETZSCH, the Institute for Particle Technology (IPAT), the European Center for Dispersion Technologies (EZD) and Malvern Instruments. Segments include Production and Processing of Paints, Coatings and Printing Inks; Characterization and Particle Size Distribution; and Formulations, Functionalizations through Additives.

“Dispersion Days is our special symposium. We have nearly 60 international speakers from the inks and coatings industry, and more than 100 participants signed up already,” said Reinhold.
