EPS Showcases New Technologies at European Coatings Show

03.20.19

Engineered Polymer Solutions (EPS) is exhibiting in Hall 7, Stand 356.

Engineered Polymer Solutions (EPS) will showcase innovative polymer technologies for the construction and industrial markets at the European Coatings Show.

EPS 719 is an all-acrylic emulsion designed to minimize asphalt bleed-through in cool roof coatings while maintaining flexibility and toughness. Some key attributes of this product are:
  • Flexible at temperatures as low as -10°C
  • Adhesion to asphalt, PVC, metal and other common roofing substrates
  • Dirt pickup resistance
  • UV light resistance
  • •Excellent toughness with both high tensile strength and elongation
  • • Can be used in both base coat and top coat formulations

EPS 595 is a versatile and robust non-APEO acrylic copolymer in water for the formulation of direct-to-metal coatings. Key attributes of this product are:
  •  Excellent corrosion resistance
  •  Multiple substrate adhesion
  •  Early water resistance
The booth will also feature products for architectural and wood coatings, such as EPS 747, an acrylic copolymer for both interior and exterior trim paints and specialty masonry topcoats.

Additionally, during the European Coatings Show, Massimo Longoni, technical service manager at EPS, presented the talk “Novel Polymer Technology for Maintaining Reflectance Efficiency in Bitumen Cool Roofs” on Monday, March 18. This presentation provided an overview of coatings formulated with bleed-blocking resins and properties such as tensile strength, elongation, adhesion, water resistance, flexibility and bitumen bleed-through resistance.
