Anticipates having more than 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries, with more than 100 product presentations.
The largest European Coatings Show on record is set to open its doors at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from March 25-27, 2025. The trade fair provides a platform for industry stakeholders to make new business contacts and network with one another.
Whether their interests are in paints, printing inks, laboratory, production testing or measuring equipment, adhesive feedstocks or construction chemical precursors, trade visitors can look forward to an extensive range of products from specialized providers from all over the world. The strong international contingent at the event, with over 1,200 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, underscores its global significance.
The semi-parallel European Coatings Show Conference from March 24-26 offers a venue for intensive knowledge transfer thanks to the more than 140 presentations.
The European Coatings Show will occupy eight exhibition halls, six of which will be dedicated to raw materials for paints, printing inks and adhesives, construction chemical precursors, and associated services. Hall 4 will focus on laboratory and production technology, testing and measuring systems, application technology, environmental protection and occupational safety, while Hall 4 A integrates all product segments.
The new My ECS platform offers visitors and exhibitors extensive information on the trade fair and all exhibitors and presentations. Thanks to the seamless integration with the ECS App, visitors can prepare their trade fair visit efficiently, while the scanning function allows them to dispense with physical business cards. For the first time, the global paint and coatings industry will come together as part of the World Paint and Coatings Week – an initiative led by the World Coatings Council (WCC). This event will take place from March 24-28, 2025 to coincide with the European Coatings Show and European Coatings Show Conference in Nuremberg, creating a unique opportunity for industry experts to discuss the latest developments, innovations and regulatory trends.
By bringing together industry experts, researchers and policymakers, this gathering will serve as a platform for dialogue on key challenges such as climate change mitigation, resource efficiency, and the transition to bio-based materials. A reception for the World Paint and Coatings Week will be held at 15:00 on March 25, 2025 at the coffee point in Mitte entrance at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg.
On March 24, the day before the exhibition, interested parties can prepare for the show in pre-conference tutorials at the semi-parallel two-and-a-half day European Coatings Conference. The high-caliber program offers developers and engineers plenty of scope for knowledge transfer thanks to more than 140 presentations.
There are two keynote speakers this year. In his presentation “The impossible project: A journey of transformation”, Dr Frank Brouwer, a renewable chemistry specialist at Stahl, discusses the most important changes in the coating segment. In her keynote address, “Designing renewable dynamic polymers for circular and advanced applications”, Professor Katja Loos from the University of Groningen will present her latest research results on bio-based polymers.
The highlight of the conference is the presentation of the ECS Conference Award. The €2,000 prize acknowledges the best scientific and technical conference paper and will be presented at 12:45 on March 24 in the exhibition center’s Tokyo Room. The finishing touch to the first day of the conference will be a poster session and ECS Students’ Award Ceremony from 17:00–18:00 in the St. Petersburg foyer.
