Rohm and Haas Company has selected the site for its new China Research and Development Center in Shanghai. Located on over eight acres in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong New Area District, the new site will anchor the company s research and commercial presence in the market.
The site, expected to open in mid-2006, will initially employ about 300 researchers, technical service personnel, commercial and sales professionals and functional staff. There will be a five-story administration building, featuring offices, customer meeting rooms, a training and conference auditorium and a customer reception area, and a four-story research building with lab and technical service facilities.
