The U.S. Army has awarded Hentzen Coatings, Inc. an order for military vehicle protective coatings in the amount of $9.2 million. The delivery order is part of a $14.1 million firm-fixed-price contract for the chemical agent resistant coatings.

Work will be performed at Hentzen's plant in Milwaukee, WI and is expected to be completed in April 2007. Hentzen Coatings manufactures industrial coatings and paint for the aerospace, defense, machinery, appliance, wood products, energy, RV and office equipment markets.

Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Nov. 30, 2004, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Texarkana, TX, issued the contract.
