ICI Vietnam Ltd, an affiliate of UK-based ICI Paints, has begun construction of its second plant in the southern part of Vietnam. The new plant is being built on a six hectare site in My Phuoc Industrial Park in the the southern Binh Duong province. The new plant will be used to manufacture paints, coatings and other related materials and chemicals. The factory, valued at approximately $20 million and scheduled to come on line in the middle of next year, will have an annual capacity of 24 million liters of paint in its first phase.
