Rudd Company, Inc. a manufacturer of wood finishes and specialty coatings based in Seattle, WA, has agreed to acquire Glitsa American, Inc., a provider of premium wood floor finishes and accessories for the professional applicator. Rudd Company has been Glitsa American’s manufacturing partner for more than thirty years, producing Glitsa’s Swedish finishes and stains.
Duane Bartel, president of Glitsa American said, “Rudd’s excellent manufacturing strengths will allow Glitsa the capacity to grow its full line of Swedish and Waterborne finishes while maintaining its high standards of quality.”
Laurel Jamison, president and CEO of Rudd Company said, “We are excited to have Glitsa American become a part of Rudd Company. We look forward to building on the Glitsa brand as we broaden our product offerings and service additional segments within both new and existing markets.”
Glitsa’s current sales staff and key employees will stay in place. Operations will move to Rudd’s facility in Seattle on November 1st and be fully integrated by the end of the year.
