Phygen investing $3.6 million in facility

Phygen Coatings Inc., a Minneapolis-based advanced manufacturing, advanced materials and nanotechnology company, will expand U.S. operations by establishing a facility in Springfield, OH. The company develops and manufactures coatings for tools and metal component parts. The coatings, which are applied through a patented physical vapor deposition application process, reduce friction, improve wear and increase productivity. Phygen will invest approximately $3.6 million in site acquisition, building rehabilitation and remodeling and equipment.
