Jotun Paints has secured a contract with Alexandria Governmental Bureau and Arab Contractors Company worth approximately $180,000 (EGP 1 million). The deal involves the delivery of 40 tons of Jotun's white and yellow Road Marking Paints, which are intended for the streets of Alexandria in Egypt. At present, Jotun Egypt has already supplied a total of 35 tons of paint, and is expecting to complete the delivery and paint works by the end of the year. The road marking initiative includes all the streets of Alexandria, including main thoroughfares such as Al Corniche St., Gamal Abd Al Nasser St., Al Horria St. and Airport Road. Jotun’s Road Marking Paint was selected after a close study of the volume of vehicles accommodated by the roads. The specialty paint product is an acrylic solvent-based formula that is specially formulated to resist abrasion in areas with high traffic, and can also be applied with special glass beads to reflect light.
