Greenkote Plc, Cleveland, OH, has expanded its licensee network in Europe with sales of licenses and coating systems to Impreglon AG of Luneburg, Germany. To supplement its own range of coatings, Impreglon AG acquired the license and production rights for an additional environmentally friendly coating process from Greenkote Plc, UK.
“The Impreglon agreement will allow us to focus on the development of growth through our license business model in Europe,” said Arie Laor, CEO, Greenkote. He also indicated that Impreglon’s additional coating technologies and plants promotes an overall and stronger presence in Europe, which increases the reach of its technology to additional applications that are complimentary to those provided for Daimler, VW and Audi, and creates a strong driver for other coaters competing with Impreglon to adopt its technology.
Free of any emissions into the environment, Greenkote’s zinc thermo diffusion process (ZTD) protects metal surfaces against corrosion attack.
Greenkote’s location in Sauerlach, Germany has provided coating services to the automotive OEM and Tier 1 metal component supply base for VW, Audi, GM and Daimler AG, in addition to other industries.
Through the license agreement Greenkote will transfer the process coating systems and certain patented technologies to Impreglon Ungarn Hft. in Hungary, Turkey. Impreglon will continue to serve Greenkote customers from this location while also expanding sales for coating services in designated territories in Germany, which include Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen and Lower Saxony.
