American Chemet Corporation of Deerfield, Illinois and East Helena, Montana in the U.S., has named a new president and CEO, William Shropshire, effective July 1, 2010. Shropshire has been with the organization for more than a decade serving in a variety of roles, most recently as executive vice president. He will be replacing W. W. Shropshire, who has become chairman of the board. American Chemet is a manufacturer and global marketer of cuprous oxide, cupric oxide, copper powder and zinc oxide.
