Adhesives Sales for 2001
● In fiscal 2001, the Henkel Group recorded sales of €13.1 billion
(approximately $11.6 billion), a drop of 2.2% compared
to the previous year.
Sales of its new business sector—consumer and craftsmen
adhesives—were €1.3 billion (approx. $1.15 billion),
which were on par with results recorded in the prior year.
Operating profit fell by 30.6% to €110 million (approx.
$97.46 million), according to Henkel.
Henkel Technologies, which includes industrial adhesives,
engineering adhesives (Loctite) and Surface
Technologies, reported a sales gain of 5.6% to €2.8 billion
(approx. $2.48 billion), primarily due to acquisitions, according
to the company.
Operating profit dropped 28.5% to €138 million (approx.
$122.2 million). ●
