Degussa Corp.: Probyn Forbes

Degussa Corp.: Probyn Forbes was
named the new director of manufacturing
for the colorants business line.
As director of manufacturing, Mr.
Forbes brings more than 13 years of
experience, most recently as plant
manager at the company’s Lockland,
OH manufacturing facility. In his
new position, Mr. Forbes has global
responsibilities for the manufacturing
operations of all Degussa’s colorants
facilities.
Degussa has appointed Rita
Fortino product manager for
methacrylate monomers in the
NAFTA region. Ms. Fortino comes to
Degussa with 27 years of experience
in the industry, having held various
positions in accounting, planning and
customer service management, most
recently with Elementis Specialties.
Joseph Won has been named the
new plant manager for the coatings
and colorants business unit’s
Lockland, OH manufacturing facility,
the company’s largest colorant manufacturing
plant. As plant manager,
Mr. Won is responsible for all operational
aspects of the Lockland facility,
including purchasing, production,
maintenance, health and safety.
