Sigma Coatings has patented a pigment concentrate for use in powder coatings without tinting strength reserve. It is is prepared by comminuting pigment particles in a bead mill in the presence of an aqueous binder, ie. polyester with Tg at least 60°C, acid value at least 60, to yield a stable paste or suspension, which is then dried. Organic pigment compositions, use in powder coatings and powder coating application are claimed.
