3M Innovative Properties Company has obtained a patent for a coating composition containing a solvent composition comprising at least one mono-, di-, or trialkoxy-substituted perfluoroalkane, perfluorocycloalkane, perfluorocycloalkyl-containing perfluoroalkane or perfluorocycloalkylene-containing perfluoroalkane compound. The compound can also contain one or more additional catenated heteroatoms and at least one coating material that is soluble or dispersible in the solvent composition.
