Bayer: Werner Spinner, member of the
board of management of Bayer AG, left
the company for personal reasons at the
end of February. The management board
of the holding company, under the leadership
of chairman Werner Wenning,
has been reduced from five members to
four. The supervisory board of Bayer AG
will meet to discuss the proposed reduction
in size of the management board
and the redistribution of responsibilities
within the board of management.
According to the proposal, chief
financial officer Klaus Kühn will take
over responsibility for the Europe
and “regions of the world” regions.
Udo Oels, responsible for innovation,
technology and the environment, will
add the Asia region to his list of
responsibilities. Richard Pott’s areas
of responsibility will include the
North, Central and South American
regions as well as his responsibilities
for strategy and human resources
