Valspar Corp. has made a number of
management changes including the
appointment of William M. Mansfield
to the position of executive vice president
of COO, responsible for all business
Mansfield joined the company in
1984. In 2002, he assumed responsibility
for Valspar’s architectural coating
business in addition to his duties
related to packaging coatings.
Stephen Erdahl, a 30-year veteran
of the company serving mostly in
industrial coatings operations, has
been named executive vice presidentcoatings,
with responsibility for leading
packaging, coil, general industrial
and related industrial coatings
businesses. He had been instrumental
in leading the acquisition and
integration of Lilly Industries.
Gary Hendrickson has been
named group vice president global
wood coatings and president Asia-
Pacific. Hendrickson joined the firm
in 1994.
Don Nolan has been tapped to
serve as group vice president global
packaging coatings. Having joined
Valspar in 1996, Nolan was named
corporate vice president for packaging
coatings-Americas in 2001.
Michael Brandt, who was hired in
1992, has been named corporate vice
president and president Valspar
