AMERICAN CAR REFINISHES
Akzo Nobel has named Jim Rees
general manager of its North
American car refinishes division. He
succeeds Rob Molenaar who was
recently promoted to global manager
of the Akzo Nobel powder coatings
division. For more than 20
years, Rees served in numerous
executive positions with the
Sherwin-Williams Company. Most recently he was vice president and
director of the transportation coatings
business unit.
Rees will report directly to global
general manager Rinus Rooseboom
in Sassenheim, The Netherlands. In
his new position, Rees will oversee
all operations in North America
including the car, commercial and
plastic divisions.
